The Good Samaritan Mobile Soup Kitchen since 2025 has served thousands of cups of soup across Chicago. The most essential ingredient in each meal that has been served is hope. The hands that prepare the meals always hope to be able make enough food to give out. We hope no one goes home or back to their shelter without being fed. We hope that each person receiving a meal feels the sense of someone caring about them. We also hope that by our actions they are reminded of God's love from them.
It goes without saying that times are tough these days. Yes, life always has its challenges for everyone. Since starting this journey we've met so many people who are struggling and hungry and have felt forgotten. For some people these times have become especially challenging. A meal prepared and served to them reminds them they are not alone. Our mission is to help ease that struggle in the most basic but essential means by providing some nutritional food. In addition to food we are able to provide resources when requested.
Our goal is to be out there in the city streets and our in community serving food to people who are in need. We serve individuals that are homeless, elderly in need, unemployed, laid off of work, parents struggling financially and having trouble making ends meet and putting food on the table. We want to help everyone who needs it.
We hope to inspire people to want to help us out in this mission. We very much welcome non perishable food items, hands on volunteers, and monetary donations. Last but not least, we could use your prayers.

Emergency food Bags packed with hygiene products and MREs (meals ready to eat). Prayer and local shelter information also included in the bags.

We do our best to provide tasty, nutritious soups, stews, sandwiches, and other meals. Our food trailer is mobile, allowing us to reach different neighborhoods throughout Chicago and serve those who need us most.

Additionally, don’t miss us at Almost Home at TRINITY CHURCH dinner for the homeless on Monday evenings.
